Precision Verification System
Metrology laboratories utilize specialized automated assemblies to establish baseline sensor accuracy. The factory calibration rig executes this procedure under highly controlled conditions.
Reference Validation
Standardized reference sources within the assembly provide the known stimulus against which the sensor output is adjusted. During this process, the factory calibration rig applies precise pressure or temperature increments to the device under test. The rig records the raw electrical signals and generates a correction matrix that is saved directly to the non-volatile memory of the sensor.
This step ensures that each individual device operates within its specified error band before leaving the production line.
Environmental Stability
Thermal chambers and isolated mounting platforms protect the instrumentation from external disturbances during the test cycle. Ambient temperature drift or building vibrations would otherwise introduce measurement errors that exceed the sensor tolerance. Automated control loops monitor these conditions to ensure that the calibration is conducted at specified reference points.
Traceability Audit
Secondary standards within the equipment are routinely audited against national measurement standards to maintain traceability. The operator verifies this alignment using certified reference materials or master instruments. This procedure guarantees that the sensor meets its specified accuracy tolerance before leaving the production line.
